Lian Zhao,于2002年獲得加拿大滑鐵盧大學(xué)電氣與計算機工程系博士學(xué)位,于2003年加入加拿大多倫多瑞森大學(xué)電氣、計算機和生物醫(yī)學(xué)工程系,并于2014年擔(dān)任該校教授。趙教授于2016年獲IEEE Vehiclular Technology Society頒發(fā)的Best Land Transportation Paper Award;2013年獲WCSP頒發(fā)的Best Paper Award;2011年獲中國通信頒發(fā)的Best Student Paper Award (with her student);2005年獲加拿大創(chuàng)新基金會New Opportunity Research Award。她目前擔(dān)任IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology和IEEE Internet of Things Journal的編輯;IEEE GreeenCom 2018的聯(lián)合主席、IEEE Globecom 2020和ICC 2018無線通信研討會聯(lián)合主席;IEEE Globecom 2013通信理論研討會聯(lián)合主席。她曾于2015-2018年擔(dān)任加拿大自然科學(xué)與工程研究理事會電子與計算機工程發(fā)現(xiàn)資助評估小組的委員會成員。她是安大略省的持牌專業(yè)工程師,IEEE通信和車輛技術(shù)協(xié)會的高級會員。
講座內(nèi)容:
Mobile edge computing (MEC) is a promising technology to support mission-critical applications. Users can enjoy services, i.e., offloading their local computing tasks to the edge servers to reduce computing service latency and improve service reliability. However, efficient user service offloading requires well-designed service scheduling and resource management algorithms. In this talk, we start from a simple problem with a single mobile and a single mobile edge server to gain insights of task scheduling and resource management problem and solutions. Then task offloading, computing, and result delivery algorithms in a more complicated vehicular network are investigated. Through these two parts, the study of offloading and resource management covers multiple applications and provides insight for effective service provisioning in future wireless networks.
